  30. Cold Hard Cache has been removed from the shareware market.  It has
  31. been significantly improved and enhanced and is being reincarnated as
  32. Diamond Cache.  It is part of the Diamond Back II hard disk backup and
  33. restore update released today. It is also available seperately.

  59. This is not a bug, really.  The original PC-Ditto that I have documents this
  60. "bug" in the manual.  The program captures the time in a register somewhere and
  61. when the IBM boots up, it restores with that time when you ran the program to
  62. begin with.  So what I am trying to say is that the PC-Ditto I ver 3.0 manual
  63. does state the time problem.

  96. On the April (?) issue of STart Magazine there is the program PHA$AR 3.0.  I
  97. have used it since I got it and it is wonderful.  It will track many different
  98. accounts and do many things Opus or any other regular spreadsheet can.  It is
  99. ment for home use/small business and requires a bit of time to set up and learn,
  100. but it is worth it.

  102. I used to use Opus 2.0 before PHA$AR and got satisfactory results from
  103. balancing my checkbook, but PHA$AR will track all your accounts including
  104. income, all expenses, loans, etc.  You might look for it if you can.

  126. Practical Peripherals makes a kit called the Tweety Board, which I have
  127. installed in my Mega 4. I don't think it's all that wonderful an upgrade.
  128. It takes the 3 channels from the Yamaha sound chip and splits them up, so
  129. you can run each channel to a separate amplified speaker. It's relatively
  130. unusual to find speakers in sets of 3, so this in itself is a hassle. I
  131. bought a cheap Radio Shack stereo mixer to handle this problem, and also
  132. to mix in my MIDI stuff.

  134. It would have been much better overall to design a kit that adds a second
  135. Yamaha sound chip. There are almost no programs I can think of that produce
  136. sound that sounds any better with the 3 channels separated. It just ain't
  137. stereo... Unfortunately, any project to add a second Yamaha chip will still
  138. be incompatible with the STe stereo. It's a drag, but I'd say you're stuck
  139. with no good way to do things. If you don't mind writing your own support
  140. for it, you may look into adding the second chip anyway. If not, forget it;
  141. there's no software that will do anything fancy with whatever mod you make.

  153. At this very moment I am running Telix 3.00 on my Atari ST with
  154. Supercharger. It works great. 5 minutes ago I had WordPerfect 5.1
  155. working WITH my ST MOUSE (Can't get it to print yet, but
  156. perhaps I forgot to do something with the setup... I will keep you
  157. posted).

  197.    Yes, I got it to work on my mono 1040.  Unfortunately, the host side was
  198. written (apparently) for VAX VMS, which I did not have the inclination to
  199. port (uw, not VMS :-).
  200.    So, if anyone has a SysV version of the unix window host side, let me
